The International Resource Panel (IRP) will release its full scientific report "Resource Efficiency and Climate Change: Material Efficiency Strategies for a Low-Carbon Future" on 18 November 2020.
The IRP has joined forces with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Cities Unit to present the report during the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) “Race to Zero Challenge” dialogues, specifically during a dialogue on “Building to Net-Zero Together” organized by the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction with support from the World Green Building Council and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
Edgar Hertwich and Reid Lifset, IRP members and lead authors will present and launch the full report on 18 November at 11h35 CEST. This will be followed by a roundtable discussion, in which Inger Andersen, UNEP Executive Director, H.E. Madame Nouzha Bouchareb, Minister of national Land Use Planning, Urban Planning, and Urban Policy of Morocco, Javier Manzanares, Deputy Executive Director of Green Climate Fund, and Janez Potočnik, IRP Co-Chair will discuss on roadmaps and resource efficiency.
