Hezri Adnan is Director of Technology, Environment, and Sustainability at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia, an international affairs think-tank in Kuala Lumpur. In addition, he is also Adjunct Fellow at the Fenner School of Environment and Society of the Australian National University (ANU) and Associate Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. He was Distinguished Visiting Professor with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and has consulted for governments and international organizations in areas related to his expertise.
Dr Adnan studies comparative policy, specializing in natural resources governance, sustainable development strategy, and the green economy. He has held research fellowships including the Asian Public Intellectuals Fellowship, awarded by The Nippon Foundation. He earned his Ph.D. in Public Policy from the Australian National University.
