The International Resource Panel (IRP), in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) Environment and Trade Hub will release a new think piece, “Sustainable Trade in Resources: Global Material Flows, Circularity and Trade” on 16th November 2020.

The think piece aims to promote policymakers’ understanding on trade flows of material resources – including their environmental impacts – and the potential of trade to contribute to the transition to a greener and more circular economy.

The publication will be launched at the WTO-UNEP High-Level event “Environment and trade for a sustainable and inclusive recovery from covid-19” on 16th November at 15h00-16h30 CET. The event marks the start of a series of activities of the WTO Trade and Environment Week 2020.
